Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our growing law firm in Douglas County, Colorado. This direct hire position offers a hybrid schedule with three to four days of in-office work per week.
- Provide expert advice and representation in construction law, real estate law, and business law.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Manage diverse caseloads from inception to resolution while maintaining high client service standards.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored legal strategies.
- Participate in negotiations and mediations to achieve favorable settlements.
- Conduct depositions, trials, and appeals as needed.
- Provide routine general counsel to business clients.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations impacting client cases or practice areas.
- Mentor junior attorneys and support staff.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in litigation, construction law, real estate law, and business law.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Colorado.
- Minimum 5 years of experience practicing in a law office setting with a focus on civil litigation.
- Experience in construction law, real estate law, and business law is preferred.
- Proficient in legal drafting with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid trial experience is preferred.
