About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join our team in Douglas County, Colorado. This is a direct hire position that offers a hybrid schedule with the requirement to work in the office three or four days per week.
- As a Litigation Associate Attorney, you will provide expert advice and representation in various areas of law, including construction law, real estate law, and business law.
- Your responsibilities will include drafting and reviewing legal documents, managing a diverse caseload, collaborating with clients, participating in negotiations and mediations, conducting depositions and trials, and providing routine general counsel to business clients.
- You will also be expected to stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact client cases or our practice areas.
- Additionally, you will mentor junior attorneys and support staff by providing guidance on legal matters and case management support.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various areas of law, including but not limited to litigation, construction law, real estate law, and business law. This role is primarily a litigation role, but it includes transactional and general counsel work as well.
- You must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and be actively licensed to practice law in Colorado.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience practicing in a law office setting with a focus on civil litigation is required. Experience in construction law, real estate law, and business law is preferred.
- You should be proficient in legal drafting with a strong attention to detail and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and solve problems effectively are also essential.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment is necessary. Solid trial experience is preferred.
