Job Details
The Failure Analysis Engineer will be responsible for conducting power supply and system-level failure analysis to support RMA cases and address internal and external customer concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
Debug and verify the functionality of AC/DC switching power supply modules using Power Integrations products across various topologies.
Perform fault isolation, defect characterization, and failure analysis on power ICs to identify root causes of failures in reliability tests, production tests, and power supply applications.
Prepare detailed technical reports summarizing findings from failure investigations for customers.
Act as the primary contact for Power Integrations Sales teams to help resolve customer quality issues.
Support customers in China and Taiwan by assisting with quality problem resolution to ensure customer satisfaction.
Communicate findings effectively through verbal and written reports, providing clear and persuasive technical documentation for external customers.
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
Minimum 8 years of experience as a failure analysis engineer in the semiconductor industry.
Strong background in failure analysis of power semiconductors, analog, and mixed-signal ICs.
Experience with switch-mode power supply applications and analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits.
Fluent in Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.
Excellent English communication skills, especially in technical writing.
Proficiency in interpreting system-level schematics, IC schematics, and IC layouts of CMOS and bipolar devices.
