Job Duties
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Advise management on legal risks, obligations, and rights across various aspects of business operations.
- Ensure the organization complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Handle legal disputes, claims, and litigation in coordination with external counsel when necessary.
- Provide legal support in corporate governance matters, including board meetings, company secretarial duties, and regulatory filings.
- Support HR in employment law matters, including employee disputes, disciplinary actions, and policy updates.
- Manage intellectual property issues including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company and ensure proactive compliance.
- Conduct legal training for internal stakeholders to mitigate legal risks.
- Liaise with external legal advisors and regulatory authorities as required.
Education
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB)
Experience
Required
- 3 years of experience in legal practice, preferably with experience in corporate or in-house legal departments.
- Strong knowledge of corporate, contract, employment, and commercial law.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred
- TSMC Arizona Fab 21 experience
- Litigation or trial experiences
- Semiconductor, safety experiences
- Employment, commercial for clients, and vendor experiences
- Water or environmental experiences dealing with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
- CHIP ACT, GPECT funding, tax credit experiences
Language
- Required: Proficient in English, both verbal and written
- Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish or Mandarin to facilitate communication with a diverse workforce.
Computer Skills
- Required: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Preferred: Pacer, Clio, LexisNexis, Westlaw, Smartsheet, Wrike
Certificates and Licenses
- Required: Certificate of Admission to the Bar of Arizona
- Preferred: Licensed in the Arizona Federal court
