What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer position at TruTEMPS Staffing Group?
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling:
- Load, unload, and transport wood materials within the facility.
- Organize and stack wood pieces according to size, type, and project needs.
- Assist in moving completed products to storage or shipping areas.
- Assembly and Production Support:
- Assist skilled workers with assembling, cutting, and sanding wood products.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery (e.g., saws, sanders, drills) as required.
- Ensure tools and work areas are kept clean and organized.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect materials and products for defects, reporting issues to supervisors.
- Follow quality guidelines and standards to ensure products meet specifications.
- Assist in labeling, packaging, and preparing finished products for shipment.
- Safety and Maintenance:
- Follow all facility safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Help maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report safety hazards, broken tools, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Support Duties:
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed.
- Follow supervisor instructions for other duties to support production.
