Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, load, and unload materials within our warehouse. This is a vital role in our operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods and maintaining a safe working environment.
Duties:
- Operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse
- Load and unload trucks and containers
- Safely stack and store products in designated areas
- Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate records
- Inspect forklifts before each shift and report any maintenance or safety issues
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth operations
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center setting
- Proficiency in basic math skills for inventory counts and measurements
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with order picking and materials handling is preferred
