POST Certified Background Investigator
TruView BSI, LLC, a top tier investigative and background screening company, in need of a Per-Diem Background Investigator to conduct Law Enforcement Backgrounds in Modesto, California. This position is responsible for conducting and ensuring the completion of background investigations for public safety positions, which must conform to Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) guidelines.
Overview of Job Duties:
· Work independently to conduct all investigative components in the POST guideline background process including, but not limited to, review candidate files, conduct face-to-face and phone interviews with the candidate, employers, family, friends, and neighbors, and perform file reviews at police agencies and employers.
- Write clear & concise final reports, and ensure all reports are compliant with all federal, and state consumer reporting law compliance matters, including POST guidelines.
· Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and management.
· Ability to travel as required, including occasional overnight travel.
Qualification Requirements:
· POST Background Certification- MUST show proof of successful completion the POST-Certified background investigations course. Course must be a minimum of 32 hours.
· Experience conducting law enforcement or firefighter background investigations.
· Excellent writing skills – narrative reporting skills necessary.
· Superior computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and database research with proficiency in manipulating, analyzing and presenting data.
· Ability to administer and coordinate multiple projects, and deliver results within deadlines through effective case management and prioritization.
· Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
