Medical Director

Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for clinical operations and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Oversee the development and implementation of clinical protocols and policies to enhance patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to manage clinical programs and improve patient outcomes.
• Conduct research to support clinical initiatives and stay updated on advancements in medical practices.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and data security.
• Lead training programs for staff on best practices in patient care, systems management, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor clinical performance metrics and implement quality improvement initiatives as necessary.
• Manage departmental budgets, resources, and staffing needs effectively.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) with board certification in a relevant specialty.
• Proven experience in medical management or healthcare management roles.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations, clinical development processes, physiology, and anatomy.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct research and apply findings to improve clinical practices.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Pay: $190,225.00 - $210,220.00 per year
