Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering disciplines, including Civil, Industrial, and Chemical Engineering, and will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in both classroom and laboratory settings. This role is pivotal in shaping the next generation of engineers through effective teaching and mentorship.
Duties
- Develop and deliver engaging course materials and lectures in various engineering subjects.
- Facilitate classroom discussions that encourage critical thinking and application of engineering concepts.
- Assess student performance through examinations, projects, and presentations, providing constructive feedback to foster improvement.
- Conduct research in relevant fields to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
- Collaborate with faculty members on curriculum development and program improvement initiatives.
- Mentor students in their academic pursuits, offering guidance on research projects and career development.
- Utilize software tools such as MATLAB and SolidWorks to enhance learning experiences.
- Implement adult education techniques to accommodate diverse learning styles within the classroom.
Experience
- A Master's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in higher education teaching or adult education is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in MATLAB and SolidWorks is advantageous for course delivery.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles is a plus.
- Experience conducting research within an academic or industrial setting will be beneficial.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively in both classroom and laboratory environments.
