- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, changing dressings, and monitoring vital signs.
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and report any significant changes to the RN or physician.
- Administer injections, IVs, and other treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
- Accurately record patient information, including health status, treatment plans, and responses to treatments, in patient medical records.
- Ensure all documentation is completed promptly and in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Provide instruction on medication administration, wound care, and other aspects of patient self-care.
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment for patients.
- Comply with all state and federal regulations and facility policies regarding patient care and documentation.
