Overview
We are seeking dedicated Poll Workers to support the electoral process and ensure fair and efficient voting procedures. As a Poll Worker, you will play a crucial role in upholding the integrity of elections and providing assistance to voters.
Duties
- Set up polling places before voting begins and close them down at the end of the day
- Verify voters' identities and registration
- Assist voters with the voting process
- Ensure polling places are organized and run smoothly
- Maintain confidentiality and security of the voting process
- Follow election laws and regulations
Skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness in the polling place.
- Makes and receives calls for potential poll worker applicants
- Maintains the database of approximately 6,500 Election Officers and appointees
- Contacts Election Officers in all 1,327 polling places to assure their presence on Election days
- Notifies by mail all election boards of training classes and Judge of Election supply tote-bag pickup
- Assists in the recruitment of poll workers to fill vacancies on election boards
- Processes supporting documentation for the compensation to ensure all election officers and constables are paid in a timely manner for services rendered on Election days
- Provide strong administrative support in various areas of scheduling poll worker training, including securing location sites
- Works within Election Division web-based application as well as State Voter Information systems
- Maintains relative databases and records
- Performs other relative duties as assigned
