- Job Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, dump trucks, water trucks, cranes, and tankers
Requirements:
- Minimum three years of experience as an equipment operator
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred certifications:
- Crane Certification
- Forklift Certification
- Hazardous Materials Certification
- Manlift Certification
- Respirator Certification
- May require a valid Class A or B commercial driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, work in confined spaces, and operate in extreme temperatures
- Perform maintenance and repair work on water treatment, distribution, and hydroelectric systems
- Assist with road maintenance, including asphalt and concrete work
- Load and transport materials safely and efficiently
- Conduct erosion control and maintain access to pipelines, aqueducts, and powerlines
- Follow environmental regulations, ensuring no harm to endangered species and protected vegetation
- Safely handle and transport hazardous materials like fuel, chemicals, and batteries
- Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
- Use construction tools such as jackhammers, tampers, and compactors
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and operating manuals
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety guidelines at all times
