Junior Accountant

Job Summary

As a Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the company. You will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
• Conduct general ledger reconciliations
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Assist with corporate accounting tasks
• Help with the preparation for audits
• Collaborate with senior accountants on various projects
• Utilize accounting software such as PeopleSoft for data entry and reporting

Experience

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP
• Familiarity with technical accounting practices
• Experience in financial management and analysis
• Ability to perform general ledger reconciliations
• Knowledge of corporate accounting procedures
• Previous exposure to wills, trusts, and estate law is a plus
• Demonstrated mentoring skills for junior staff members

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $23.23 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
