Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for medical testing.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and skin punctures to collect blood samples
- Label vials accurately and maintain patient information
- Process specimens for testing and analysis
- Follow proper protocols for specimen collection processing
- Interact with patients in a professional and empathetic manner during blood sampling
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to aseptic techniques to prevent contamination
Requirements
- Certification in Phlebotomy or relevant field
- Proficiency in clinical laboratory procedures and laboratory techniques
- Knowledge of anatomy, blood sampling, and specimen collection processing
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
