What are the responsibilities and job description for the Awards & Hospitality Associate position at TRYON EQUESTRIAN PROPERTIES LLC?
Description
This position will primarily focus on supporting both the Horse Show Awards & Presentation department and Hospitality department while promoting guests’ overall experiences.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Awards & Presentations
- Assist competitors with checking their show results on regular classes, division championships, prizes, etc.
- Execute award presentations for special classes/events during the horse show.
- Maintain adequate stock level of ribbons and prizes in show office/show rings and help keep inventories.
- Aid in the coordination of horse show hospitality events.
- Assist guests/regular public with directions or general information.
Hospitality
- Complete deliveries of judge’s cards to the Horse Show Secretary.
- Packaging and delivery of official’s lunches.
- Keeping inventory and completing orders for snacks and drinks for Show Officials.
- Support/assist the Horse Show Office during any down time.
- Completion of miscellaneous errands that are needed for officials or the Horse Show Office.

- Position requires a detail, quality oriented, and organized person.
- Must be able to work independently and in team settings.
- Reliability and punctuality is a must.
- Ability to provide stellar customer service.
- Ability to work well with other staff, vendors, sponsors, guests, and partners in a collaborative and professional environment.
Description of Work Environment:
- This position will require the individual to work in a variety of locations, indoor and outdoor, and in a variety of weather conditions.
