The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various rheumatic diseases, providing comprehensive care to patients with conditions such as arthritis, lupus, and other autoimmune disorders. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent patient management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various rheumatic diseases, providing comprehensive care to patients with conditions such as arthritis, lupus, and other autoimmune disorders. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent patient management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Diagnose rheumatic diseases and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper medical coding for billing purposes.
- Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in rheumatology and related fields to enhance patient care.
- MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or similar specialty required
- Board certification in Rheumatologist required
- Current, unrestricted and active license to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
- Prior experience working with interdisciplinary teams
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AMA) or American Red Cross required w/in first 90 days of employment
- New physicians are allowed up to 6 weeks (prorated for part-time) off per year, in addition to seven major holidays.
