We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all hotel facilities. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with other departments to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, resolving issues efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and assist with the procurement of necessary materials.
- Collaborate with the housekeeping and front desk departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Assist with preventive maintenance programs to enhance the longevity of hotel equipment.
- Document all maintenance activities and requests in the hotel's maintenance management system.
- Participate in emergency preparedness and response initiatives.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests while maintaining professionalism at all times.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in relevant fields such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical preferred.
- Proven experience in building maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
- Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
- Capable of standing, kneeling, and moving for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
