Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented SQL, .NET Developer to support and evolve both custom-built and off-the-shelf application software. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong understanding of Microsoft technologies, data-driven application development, and a commitment to supporting reliable, scalable solutions in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance custom web and service applications using C#/.NET and SQL Server.
- Support and customize commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software used in various workflows, including design, composition, manufacturing, marketing, and fulfillment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production systems to ensure minimal downtime and high-quality deliverables. Implement corrective/preventative actions to minimize recurring issues.
- Build and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data integration processes to support campaigns, print jobs, and digital messaging workflows.
- Work closely with business users, analysts, production teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements, prototype, and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate applications with third-party tools, APIs, and external systems.
- Participate in code reviews, deployments, and change management to maintain a high standard of code quality and operational stability.
- Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and solutions to support scalability and knowledge sharing.
- 5 - 7 years of professional experience with .NET Framework and/or .NET Core using C#.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including complex T-SQL, performance tuning, and database design.
- Experience with production support in high-availability environments.
- Familiarity with COTS application integration and support.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, Windows services, and web application development (e.g., ASP.NET MVC/Web API).
- Experience with version control and change management (Dev, Test, QA, and Prod system migrations).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer service-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the marketing technology or communications industry.
- Familiarity with tools like FTP, data/messaging, and data warehouse/reporting.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure.
- Scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell) is a plus.
