Position Summary:
TS Tech is implementing an updated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. As an ERP Support Specialist Lead - Direct Material Procurement you will be part of the team that implements and maintains active procurement of direct material needed in a JIT manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for learning and becoming a subject matter expert in functional areas related to procurement in the ERP system. This position is located at our corporate office in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
Qualifications/Essential Skills and Experience:
Education: Graduated from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Production and Operations Management, Supply Chain Management and Logistics or a closely related field or equivalent work experience in multiple areas. APICS or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Experience: Three years or more of progressively responsible related experience in procurement, manufacturing, or operations management. Knowledge of QAD is a plus.
Skill Set: Effective written and oral communications skills with the ability to work across multiple levels of the organization. Knowledge of information technology and integrated enterprise resource applications. Ability to learn quickly. Problem solving/root cause analysis skills. Experience in training and presenting. Attention to detail and follow through. Fluent in English. Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with plant support personnel to understand manufacturing processes, production schedules and effectively procure product to meet ideal inventory targets to support a JIT manufacturing environment.
- Understand, problem solve, and train end users with enterprise systems, particularly with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), procurement via scheduled release orders to supply base, and procurement of manufacturing products.
- Learn and document plant processes and recommend how they could be improved or automated.
- Train end users of varied positions and levels of technical ability.
- Lead and problem solve.
- Analyze and make decisions based on data.
- Present data and reports to customers and leadership.
- Understand how schedule changes will impact the end user(s).
- Professionally manage multiple production lines and customers.
- Work independently and manage numerous deadlines.
- Willingness to occasionally work outside of regular office hours.
