Summary of Position: The Patient Transporter assists patients by transporting them to and from Radiology, and around the clinic.

We are currently hiring a part-time Patient Transporter at our New Braunfels location.

What You'll Do:

• Cordially greet and guide visitors and patient
• Transport patients to and from the radiology area
• Comforts patients and their families by offering support and encouragement
• Transports equipment and supplies as needed
• Maintains a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with federal and state regulations
• Input Xray orders in computer (efferent)
• Input Xray orders in athena
• Import incoming Xray images (from outside disks)
• Burn Xray Images onto disks for patients
• Escort patients to exams rooms after xrays
• Grab patients from cast room as needed for xrays
• Greets patients.  Provides compassion.  
• Helps patients in & out of wheelchair as needed

What You'll Need:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Extraordinary customer service skills. Must be customer-focused.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels (patients, internal/external customers).
• Other duties as assigned as necessary and may vary at times, as needed, by your immediate supervisor or as directed by the company.
• Position requires continuous walking patients to and from departments. Bending, stooping, lifting patients, pushing patients in wheelchairs. Etc.

Salary : $12
