The Senior Staff / Cost Accountant will collaborate closely with various departments within the company and will be responsible for maintaining financial records, assist with cost accounting including standard and average costing and full accounting from raw materials to finished goods, conducting general ledger reconciliations, and supporting the preparation of financial statements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily accounting tasks, including journal entries, ledger reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Gather information to prepare and analyze cost reports for raw material, work in progress, finished goods inventory, and labor.
- Assisting with maintaining and ensuring accuracy of standard and average costs.
- Record, analyze, and review inventory count adjustments.
- Review financial statements for accuracy.
- Enter accounting-related information into the ERP system.
- Support the budgeting and planning process by gathering and reporting on historical data.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare item Profit Contribution analysis.
- Support financial audits.
- Prepare financial reports including analysis of data for management.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
