Certification Details BLS ACLS PALS Job Details Registered Nurse for Med-Surg Unit (MSU) for adult geriatrics and pediatric patients. With EXCELLENT Staffing Ratios : Non Covid : typically 4 : 1, max 5 : 1. Covid patients : typically 2 : 1, max 3 : 1. Experience : Three (3) years of med-surg experience, 1 year pediatric experience required, MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH BOTH ADULT AND PEDIATRIC PATIENTS. Setting : 20 bed medical surgical unit for adults and pediatrics. Travelers are expected to attend staff meetings. Job Requirements Three (3) years of med-surg experience. 1 year pediatric experience required. Must be comfortable with both adult and pediatric patients. Schedule Information 12 hour shifts Days or Nights, must be flexible. Orientation on Mondays only - If your traveler misses the compliance deadline, they will be pushed to the following scheduled New Employee Orientation. Unit Specific Information 20 bed medical surgical unit for adults and pediatrics. Additional Details Travelers are occasionally expected to float to other departments in which they are qualified to work. This could include taking a patient load if experienced / competent in that setting or could be task-oriented such as answering call lights, phones, etc. Housing : Information can be found under the 'Facility Group Document’ section in Medefis.
