Job Overview
Assists the Bartender in stocking the bar with beverage products and restocking bar supplies as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares bars and other beverage outlets for readiness.
- Assists the bartender in opening/closing down the bar.
- Arrives on time, in proper uniform, and at assigned workstation at the start of the shift.
- Cleans all surfaces and restocks all bar supplies and beverage products, including instruments such as trays, dish tubs, flooring or other service-related areas used by or within the areas where service is being provided by servers, cocktail servers, bartenders, etc.
- Assist with inventory procedures and beverage or food service as needed.
- Well versed in the SQUARE POS/BARKEEP/FOODTRACK ordering systems.
- Be advised of any ongoing events, cocktails, and other specials as well as general knowledge of the Carousel Club brand and operational standards to serve guests to the best of their ability.
- Be flexible with the work schedule: 10-hour shifts, nights, weekends, holidays and working hours until 3am.
- Provides excellent customer service to guests, fellow staff members, etc.
- Responsible for carrying out all duties with safety as a priority.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required.
- Strong champagne, wine and liquor knowledge.
- Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse angry situations and collect accurate information in order to resolve conflicts.
- Requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
- Must be 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain a Florida slot license.

The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke. The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or staff members. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.
