Job Overview
Responsible for serving drinks and bottles efficiently and properly in a high-volume atmosphere.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Arrives to the table within minutes after the guests have been seated.
Takes drink orders and suggests beverages or attempts to up-sell liquor and beer.
Accurately records all drink orders and ensure each order has been filled to the customer specification.
Extensive liquor knowledge with the ability to create specialty cocktails on the spot.
Ensures that assigned work areas are cleared of empty glasses, food trays, etc.
Arrives on time, in proper uniform, and at assigned workstation at the start of the shift.
Well versed in the SQUARE POS ordering system.
Must be familiar with local liquor laws and adhere to ID procedures.
Responsible for all opening / closing procedures of shift.
Maintains fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensure products are consistent with company quality standards.
Be advised of any ongoing events, cocktails, and other specials as well as general knowledge of the Carousel Club brand and operational standards to serve guests to the best of their ability.
Be flexible with the work schedule : 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, holidays and working hours until 3am.
Follow the directives of all department SOPs and policies regarding uniforms, communication, and work duties.
Responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
Qualifications
A high school diploma is required.
Strong champagne, wine and liquor knowledge.
Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills and excellent attention to detail.
Ability to deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse angry situations and collect accurate information in order to resolve conflicts.
Must be 21 years of age.
Reliable transportation.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke. The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or staff members. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.
