Job Overview
Performs several key back of house cleaning routines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Adhere to Gulfstream Park Racing & Casino standards and policies.
Required to determine and prepare the appropriate concentrations of detergent and disinfectant solutions.
Maintains clean glass racks and is responsible for storage.
Removes garbage and cleaning containers.
Washes dishes, cutting boards, glassware, and silverware.
Clean all food service utensils, plates, pits, pans, etc. after each use.
Replace all used items back to correct locations after each use, including restocking line with dishware and utensils or anything else required in the normal course of business.
Draining, cleaning and re-filling of fryers, and fryer tanks.
Assist cooks as needed, including any manual labor i.e. chopping, shredding, washing, preparing foods, while under the direct supervision of a chef / cook.
Performs other duties as requested by back of house manager(s).
Clean kitchen areas before, during and after each shift including but not limited to cleaning floors – swept and mopped – general and deep cleaning of equipment e.g. stoves, hoods, refrigerators, work tables, shelves, ceiling tiles, walls, etc.
Qualifications
High school diploma preferred.
1 year or more of related experience preferred.
Must have the ability to follow instructions, ability to perform assigned tasks under limited supervision.

The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50-75 pounds or more using appropriate equipment or tools. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke. The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or staff members. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.
Licenses, Certifications, Registration : Requires a pari-mutuel license.
