Job Overview
The Bindery Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Finishing Department, ensuring the efficient operation of binding lines and supporting the mailing process. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support operators with efficient machine operation
- Manage the flow of materials onto and off binding lines
- Assist with the mailing process
- Perform hand-related tasks within the Finishing Department
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent required
- Basic verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform work productively and safely
- Reliable attendance is required
- Ability to work mandatory overtime as needed
- Must possess ability to work at a rapid pace
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to a maximum of 50 lbs frequently
- Continuous standing, frequent walking & stooping, occasional sitting, crouching, and reaching/working overhead required
- Good visual acuity and manual dexterity required
- Must wear hearing protection and safety shoes
