Job Summary:
We are looking for a high-performing person to join our team in the role of Buyer. This is a fast-paced and demanding position. The team member will work closely with our suppliers to maintain currently estimated ship dates (ESDs) as well as with our Inside Sales Support to ensure the latest updates have been provided. Candidates must have a well-rounded understanding of all purchasing processes.
This is a full-time position, on site position.
You will report to the Lead Buyer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track open and overdue purchase orders
- Coordinate with our Inside Sales Support to inform them of ESD assignments or changes
- Receive Work Order (WO) corresponding to a Sales Order (SO) from Inside Sales once processed
- Check the WO pick sheet and determine if the product is in stock or needs to be ordered
- Create Purchase Orders for components/parts from appropriate vendors
- Assign an Estimated Ship Date (ESD) for the SO after confirming component lead times with vendors
- Review and release WO to Production Manager once the product is in stock
- Keep current vendor pricing updated on company servers
- Investigate invoice discrepancies
- Review inventory triggers on a regular basis and adjusts if necessary
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
- Review material requisition forms submitted by other employees; purchase necessary items
- Coordinate with the Lead Buyer to complete annual product inventory
- Other duties as assigned

- Possess two plus years of experience in a similar job
- Possess a four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills with vendors as well as with fellow co-workers
