TSMC Arizona is looking for a Mechanical / Electrical D esign Engineer to join our new Fab 21 project, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. As a Mechanical/ electrical design engineer, you will demonstrate a strong sense of reliability and enthusiasm and will possess an attitude that embodies our core values – Integrity, Commitment, Innovation and Customer Trust.

TSMC Arizona’s Building Construction Department r esponsibilities will encompass code interpretation, project planning and scheduling, resource monitoring and control, interface coordination, as well as oversight on quality, safety, and security.

Job Description

Your main responsibilities include:

• General responsibility of the Mechanical / electrical design engineer.
• Ensuring Office MEP design compliance with local codes and regulations.
• Overall control of the project schedule & budget.
• Planning, allocation, and monitoring of resources and construction materials.
• Logistic planning and management of the construction site.
• Coordination and integration of interfaces between various construction contractors.
• Managing related permits and communicating with authorities or relevant parties on construction matters.
• Handling construction payments and change orders.
• Managing safety, quality, and security on the construction site.
• Inspecting and documenting the construction site.
• Monitoring the design progress of the design consultant and identifying potential risks based on construction schedule requirements.
• Function as an owner representative for all design and construction phases.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:

• B.S. Degree required in a relevant field, such as Electrical Engineering, HVAC Design Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related discipline.
• Familiar with project scheduling software (Microsoft Project, etc), graphic software (AutoCAD, etc) and BIM software (Revit, etc) is a plus.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in MEP design or a related field.
• In-depth understanding and practical experience on international building regulations and construction sequence.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with team members and stakeholders.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities are necessary for successfully working under pressure.
• Professional Engineer license is a plus.
• Flexibility to change priorities and responsibilities to support business needs.
