POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled NetApp Storage Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. This hybrid role combines remote work with onsite responsibilities in Santa Clara, CA. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ONTAP and E-Series systems, a proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize storage environments, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
NETAPP STORAGE ENGINEERS AT TSP TYPICALLY HAVE THE FOLLOWING JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, configure, and maintain NetApp storage systems, focusing on ONTAP and E-Series platforms
- Perform installations, upgrades, patches, and migrations of storage environments
- Monitor and optimize storage performance, ensuring data availability, scalability, and security
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues to minimize downtime and improve system reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure requirements and projects
- Document technical processes, configurations, and best practices
THE IDEAL PERSON FOR FILL THIS ROLE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE SUCH AS:
- Proven experience working with NetApp ONTAP and E-Series storage systems
- Strong understanding of storage networking protocols (e.g., NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, FC)
- Familiarity with system monitoring tools and performance tuning methodologies
- Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for storage environments
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- NetApp certifications (e.g., NCDA, NCIE) are highly desirable
- Experience with hybrid cloud storage solutions is a plus
- Knowledge of VMware, Linux, or Windows systems is beneficial
