Role Summary
We are seeking Nutanix Core / Automation Engineers to join our dynamic team in remote or hybrid roles throughout the U.S. These roles will focus on the deployment, management, and optimization of Nutanix solutions while also leveraging automation to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve overall infrastructure performance. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in Nutanix technologies and a passion for automation, with expertise in scripting, automation tools, and cloud technologies.

THESE ARE THE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A NUTANIX CORE/AUTOMATION ENGINEER:
Nutanix Core Management
- Design, implement, and manage Nutanix Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions, including the deployment of Nutanix clusters, Prism interfaces, and Nutanix-specific services
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Nutanix environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security
- Manage Nutanix clusters, handle capacity planning, and optimize system performance
- Configure and support Nutanix storage, compute, and network resources to meet organizational needs
- Develop and implement automation strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention in system configuration, deployment, and monitoring
- Leverage tools like Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or Nutanix Calm for automating infrastructure provisioning, system updates, and other operational tasks
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to integrate Nutanix automation with other platforms or CI/CD pipelines
- Proven experience with Nutanix Core Infrastructure, including Nutanix AOS, Prism, AHV, and storage solutions
- Strong experience with automation tools like Ansible, Nutanix Calm, Terraform, or scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Solid understanding of virtualization technologies, especially Nutanix AHV and VMware vSphere, and the management of storage and compute resources in a virtualized environment
- Experience with cloud technologies, including hybrid cloud or multi-cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, etc.), and Nutanix Cloud solutions
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Windows server management, networking, and system administration.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or Nutanix Certified Expert (NCE) certification
- Experience with DevOps or CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and integration with Nutanix
- Knowledge of security best practices for managing cloud and on-prem infrastructure
- Pay grade: 31
