Welcome to the role of Deck Installer! We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team and help us create beautiful outdoor living spaces for our clients. You will be responsible for designing and constructing decks of various sizes and styles, from simple to complex. You should have a thorough knowledge of deck building materials and techniques, as well as be able to work safely and efficiently. Job Responsibilities
- Measure and install composite decks according to plans
- Install deck boards and stairways
- Secure deck boards with screws and nails
- Assemble railings and balusters
- Install deck posts and footings
- Install hardware such as joist hangers and lag screws
- Level and align decks to ensure a safe, secure installation
- Inspect decks for any defects
- Make necessary repairs to decks
- Clean up the work site upon completion of job
Job Requirements
- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Ability to read blueprints and other plans
- Ability to carry heavy loads
- Good physical strength and stamina
- Ability to work at heights
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety regulations
