About the Role:
Tri State Technical Services is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Remote Helpdesk Technician to provide top-notch technical support to our network of dental and medical offices. You’ll be the first point of contact for troubleshooting IT issues, supporting clinical and office staff, and ensuring minimal downtime for mission-critical systems.
Role is fully remote at this time, but candidate should be within commuting distance to 08831 and 07024.
Hours are from 8am to 5pm EST, Monday through Friday with one-hour unpaid lunch. After hours and weekend work might be required for project installation assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide remote Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for desktops, printers, networking, VoIP, and dental/medical-specific software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Carestream, etc.) and digital imaging applications (e.g., Vatech, Dexis, Apteryx)
- Respond to support tickets and calls in a timely and professional manner
- Troubleshoot issues related to Windows OS, hardware, email, VPN, and cloud services
- Document all interactions, solutions, and follow-up steps in Autotask PSA
- Escalate complex issues to senior team members when necessary
- Collaborate with onsite techs, vendors, and clinic managers to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a helpdesk or IT support role
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server operating systems, Networking (AD, DNS, DHCP, Routing)
- Ability to build, maintain and secure Microsoft 365 environments
- Ability to work on SonicWALL, Ubiquiti, with site-to-site VPN management
- Excellent communication skills with a calm and patient demeanor
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and best practices in a healthcare environment
- Ability to work in a quiet space with space for multiple screens with reliable internet connection.

Salary : $42,000 - $65,000
