We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team and ensure our guests enjoy a flawless dining experience at Tsunami Restaurant and Sushi Bar. Dishwasher responsibilities include cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment with precision, maintaining a spotless workspace, and supporting our team to keep operations running smoothly. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload dishwashing machines, and hand-wash items like large pots, wooden cutting boards, and delicate glassware.
- Store clean dishes, glasses, and utensils properly to ensure availability, especially during peak hours.
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, including sanitizing surfaces and removing garbage regularly.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies (e.g., detergents) and report any equipment issues promptly.
- Assist with basic kitchen tasks and coordinate with staff to support smooth operations.
Skills:
- Experience as a Dishwasher or in a kitchen setting is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to sanitation standards.
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
- Availability to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Job Requirements:
- Maintain a valid Food Handler’s permit and submit renewals before expiration.
- Report to work on time, adhering to uniform standards.
- Handle glassware and equipment safely to prevent damage.
- Follow Tsunami’s rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Comply with state and federal regulations regarding restaurant safety and sanitation.
