Job Summary
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating sales leads and meeting sales goals through outbound calling efforts. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively convey product information to potential customers.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Manage individual sales/orders including entering orders, creating purchase orders, creating labels, shipping, etc.
  • Assisting in maintaining/adjusting company inventory.
  • Touring customers within the Nursery on a as needed basis.
  • Inspection of material prior to shipping to ensure quality
  • Help grow existing sales program.
  • Support relationships with existing customers throughout the year via telephone, mail, email, onsite customer visits, tours, events, and tradeshows.
  • Develop understanding of customers’ business needs to fulfil their needs fully
  • Facilitate the placement of customer orders and fulfillment process.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers prior to shipment to confirm any additional sales and shipment date(s).
  • Follow up with customers after shipment to ensure expectations have been exceeded and sell additional product for future shipments.
  • Resolve customer issues by investigating problems and developing solutions.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Requires excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, both in person and via phone/email
  • Experience delivering high-quality customer service and assistance.
  • Strong plant identification skills and knowledge
  • Detail-oriented and possess basic math and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to think quickly and make decisions.
  • Strong computer skills including spreadsheet, email, and word processing programs. Prefers experience with QuickBooks.
  • Team player who takes initiative, seeks responsibility, manages competing demands, and can adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Willingness to assist with other job duties and assignments, as needed.
  • Must be able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
