Role Overview and Responsibilities
Introduction
Reporting to VP Sales - North America, the Automation & Electrification Sales Lead role will spearhead our organization's business development and sales activities across the company's Components portfolio. With management responsibility for 3 Regional Sales Managers and a Distribution Sales Manager, the candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, cultivating strong customer relationships and driving revenue growth through both direct OEM engagement and Distribution (channel sales). Our go to market strategy in the region is further supported by a network of external Sales Representative companies
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin & operating profit targets across the region.
- Create structured and credible strategic growth plans specific to the Components portfolio, fully supporting the TT Strategic Growth Plan process.
- Coach key business opportunities with direct reports to ensure well-managed pursuits.
- Work closely with engineering, product development, and program management teams to present differentiating and competitive customer solutions.
- Establish and maintain relationships with strategic customers and distributors
- Identify change actions determined by analysis of sales data and metrics.
- Coordinate sales process improvement strategies with internal stakeholders.
- Drive sales process workflow and design in compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure implementation and management.
- Champion utilization and management of Salesforce opportunity pipeline as our primary sales reporting tool.
- Analyze Salesforce pipeline data and statistics to identify opportunities and develop action plans to drive increased opportunity conversion.
- Generate and submit clear order intake forecasting for the market vertical on a regular and timely basis.
- Produce all required sales related reporting.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the organization's wider sales functions and products.
- Monitor competitors and industry developments to maintain a competitive edge.
