Duties
- Safely transport patients to and from various locations within the hospital or healthcare facility.
- Assist patients with mobility needs, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.
- Provide basic life support as needed, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in critical situations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure timely arrivals for medical appointments or procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of transport equipment and vehicles.
- Document patient transport details accurately, including any changes in patient condition during transit.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines related to patient care and transportation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in critical care transport or similar roles is preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles, particularly in hospital settings.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Physical stamina to assist with lifting and moving patients as needed.
- A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and respect for individuals' needs.
