TTCU Federal Credit Union is seeking a passionate and motivated DEIB Intern to join our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging team. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to support the development, execution, and evaluation of DEIB initiatives that promote an inclusive, equitable, and diverse workplace culture. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, have strong communication skills, and demonstrate a commitment to social justice and inclusion. The intern will also contribute to research, planning, and organizing of events to promote education, awareness, and assist in the coordination of business resource groups (BRGs) and the DEIB Strategy Team.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on DEI best practices, trends, and initiatives across industries. Analyze data related to organizational DEI efforts, identifying opportunities for improvement and measuring progress.
- Plan and organize events aimed at increasing awareness and education on DEI topics. Coordinate logistics, such as venue booking, materials preparation, and communication for DEI events and training sessions.
- Assist in the establishment and organization of new ERGs. Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings and tracking action items.
- Collaborate with the DEI Strategy Team to develop and implement the organization's DEIB strategic plan. Track and communicate progress on DEI-related goals and initiatives.
- Help create communication materials, such as newsletters, presentations, and social media content, to promote DEI initiatives. Engage with employees across the organization to encourage participation in DEI programs and activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a bachelor's or master's degree program in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong interest in diversity, equity, and inclusion topics, social justice, and organizational culture.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate within a team environment.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with virtual meeting platforms.
- Prior experience supporting DEIB initiatives or organizing DEIB-related events is preferred. Documented training in DEIB concepts and practices is a strong advantage.
