Responsibilities and Duties:Financial Reporting & Budgeting:
- Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly budgets for each vessel in collaboration with captains and yacht managers as requested by the owner.
- Generate financial reports for the owner and/or owner's representative as needed.
- Perform budget variance analysis in partnership with the captain and yacht manager.
- Set and communicate expenditure approval levels to captains and crew.
- Review and process payable invoices according to established approval protocols.
- Ensure compliance with financial and tax requirements based on each vessel’s flag state, registration, and location.
- Manage payroll processes and facilitate funding to the third-party payroll company monthly.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (required) or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of accounting experience in any industry.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Previous experience in the yacht management industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with FileMaker (preferred).
- Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software (preferred).
- Professional and effective communication with clients, captains, and the yacht management team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up.
- Positive attitude with a desire for professional growth.
