Description:
A growing service management organization is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their finance team. This role will be responsible for managing invoicing, customer payments, and collections processes across multiple entities. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Invoice customer orders across multiple companies using accounting software
- Submit invoices via customer portals and electronic data interchange (EDI)
- Record customer payments including cash, checks, ACH, wires, and credit cards
- Process credit memos and adjusting entries for authorized deductions
- Investigate and resolve unauthorized deductions following standard procedures
- Perform collections by analyzing customer payment plans, credit history, and making follow-up calls
- 5 years of recent experience in Accounts Receivable
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Associate degree in Accounting preferred but not required
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
