Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Surveillance Inspector to oversee and guide a team responsible for the maintenance and repair of commercial aviation engines. This role involves conducting detailed inspections, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to processes outlined in manufacturer instructions, service bulletins, and industry standards.
- Perform preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections for aviation airworthiness directives.
- Conduct borescope inspections of engines and components.
- Manage engine receiving, inventory control, and borescope procedures.
- Perform comprehensive module inspections and in-process sign-offs.
- Issue and maintain shop disassembly, assembly, and final inspection documentation.
- Ensure all calibrated tools used during assembly are current and in compliance.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and rework parts and assemblies.
- Interpret and apply information from routers and OEM manuals.
- Supervise and provide guidance to CFM Technicians to ensure quality standards.
- Experience with Turbo fan engines.
- FAA Powerplant License.
- Minimum of 3 years of borescope inspection experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in the use of hand and pneumatic tools.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and repair concepts for aviation parts.
- Ability to isolate failures, perform rework, and maintain quality standards.
- Competency in reading and understanding OEM manuals and work instructions.
- 5-10 years of experience with CFM56-3, -5B, and -7B engines.
- Experience with Quantum aviation software.
- Proficiency in English.
