We're searching for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to support the sourcing and procurement of structural materials and repair services. The ideal candidate will take a hands-on approach to supply chain logistics, material purchasing, and vendor relationship management—playing a key role in fulfilling client needs and ensuring operational flow.
This position involves coordinating purchase and repair orders, managing shipments and logistics, negotiating pricing, and supporting internal departments such as accounting and quality control. The role requires a high level of organization, communication, and follow-through to ensure materials and parts are sourced, received, and processed in alignment with project timelines.
This is a fast-paced environment where responsiveness and accountability are essential. The Purchasing Agent will also assist in identifying potential sales opportunities by researching inventory and market trends and supporting a sister company's quoting process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Source, negotiate, and expedite materials and services for repairs and structural components.
- Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound shipments.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and manage communications across multiple departments.
- Ensure proper documentation for receiving, shipping, and quality control standards.
- Maintain records of material requests and vendor transactions.
- Collaborate with inventory, warehouse, and production teams to fulfill customer needs.
- Support the Accounting department with invoicing, repairs, and related documentation.
- Build and sustain strong vendor and customer relationships.
- Research the aviation parts market for purchasing and sales opportunities.
- Use relevant software platforms to track and manage purchasing activities (e.g., Corrido and Smart145).
- Contribute to quoting and sales functions in collaboration with inventory and production stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1–3 years of purchasing, procurement, or logistics experience (aviation/aerospace preferred but not required).
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement software (e.g., Corrido, Smart145) is a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
- Must be a self-starter with strong attention to detail and a team-oriented mindset.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
