The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the mortgage foreclosure process, a solid understanding of compliance, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. This role ensures adherence to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and relevant state laws while preparing and managing critical documentation.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with the FDCPA and state-specific regulations.
- Preparing and organizing complaint packages.
- Drafting foreclosure pleadings and correspondence to judges.
- Conducting mortgage/satisfaction searches.
- Drafting answers and affirmative defenses.
- Preparing motions for case management conferences, notices of trial, and motions to reschedule sales.
- Scheduling hearings and managing associated documentation.
Requirements:
- Education:
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal environment, particularly in mortgage foreclosure processes.
- Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of foreclosure practices and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
- Ability to work under deadlines and handle confidential information with integrity.
