Indoor Sciences Field Technician – Industrial Hygiene Division
TTI Environmental, Inc. is an integrated environmental services contractor and consulting firm. TTI services government, industrial, commercial, academic, financial, and private clients nationwide and is headquartered in Moorestown, New Jersey. TTI is seeking a full-time Indoor Sciences Field Technician to join our Industrial Hygiene Division. This is a hybrid position – working in the field with occasional trips to TTI’s Moorestown office. This position offers opportunity for growth in the industrial hygiene, indoor sciences, and building science consulting career fields.

Shift: Day and evening hours with occasional weekend work and ample opportunity for overtime hours if desired.
Compensation: $20-30 hourly commensurate with credentials, education, and experience.
Indoor Sciences Field Technician Responsibilities
- Inspection and on-site monitoring for asbestos, mold, lead paint, and indoor air quality
- Conduct detailed surveys requiring attention to specific building components and systems
- Conduct on-site oversight of abatement projects and collection of samples
- Maintain, operate, and calibrate a variety of sampling and monitoring equipment
- Collect project details requiring excellent note taking
- Timeliness, time management, ability to meet deadlines, and responsiveness to emergencies is vital
- Assignments are of varying complexity and under direction of a project manager
Indoor Sciences Field Technician Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of general building mechanical systems and building construction
- High School or Mechanical/Trade School Diploma
- Associate or B.S. in Environmental Science preferred
- Exhibit clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
- General computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional safety and quality awareness
- Independent thinking and self-motivation are essential
Indoor Sciences Field Technician Requirements
- Minimum years of experience: 0-3
- Ability to commute to remote sites as needed
- Willingness to work limited weekends and second shift
- Ability to perform field work and meet physical demands
- Must be able to carry up to 30 lbs. of equipment and use ladders
- Willingness to learn, complete training, and obtain various certifications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to successfully pass a pre-employment screening and physical
- Must be a US citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
