Audio Visual Technician
Job Description :
Assist users with their AV needs and to ensure that the AV technology is working properly at all times. This includes but is not limited to testing and setting up calls, making or coordinating repairs of systems, training users on the use of the technology, working with other entities within the organization and providing feedback to Design Engineers regarding system performance and possible changes based on observations of space utilization. Responsible for service delivery across all technology domains and all consumers, including execution of all backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and related capabilities.

Accountable for your own work and effective coordination of process and information with others
Works independently within guidelines and policies for ongoing work; may receive general mentoring on new assignments
Role Summary and Job Responsibilities :
Takes immediate actions to resolve technology service disruptions when they occur
Evaluates and acts on the production readiness for technology solution implementations and application deployments
Analyzes performance trends and crafts action plans to address potential impacts prior to impacts occurring
Mentors more junior members of the team
Actively helps team members and makes suggestions to improve practices
Business knowledge :
Possesses fundamental understanding of the tech industry and internal business units to enable navigation and understanding of impact
Requirements :
High level of proficiency in maintaining good customer relationships is required
Knowledge of Cisco, Poly and AMX systems is preferred
Experience working with video conferencing (VTC), AV control systems and digital signal processing (DSP) systems is highly desired.
Experience working with collaboration technologies including, but not limited to Zoom, Teams and Webex.
Possesses strong level of knowledge in own expertise while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of a subset of the broader technology portfolio
Ensures incidents impacting technology availability are resolved within policy standards
Examines and collects data for trending capacity utilization
Maintains a high proficiency in code management to ensure procedures are aligned to best practices
Identifies performance tuning opportunities that will produce improvements to processing or capacity
Additional Information :
6 month contract opportunity
Fully onsite position that requires 5 days onsite weekly in Baltimore, MD office
Rate Range : $35-40 / hr. W2 (based on experience)
