Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician— Alabama, Mississippi & Tennessee
Description:
- Performs visual inspections (VT) of Structural welds to ensure that it conforms to applicable standards. AWS Certified Welding Inspector would be a plus but not required.
- Perform Nondestructive Testing in following methods; Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Penetrant testing (PT).
- Perform coating inspections and testing to ensure that it conforms to applicable standards.
- Inspects structural steel/bolting to applicable codes.
- Basic computer skills and related technology.
- Follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintains cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc.
- Prepares daily reports and information for clients. Operates with moderate supervision.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Nondestructive Testing Certification ASNT Level I or II Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Penetrant testing (PT).
- Ability to communicate professionally, orally and in writing.
- Basic computer skills and related technology.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record. Drug-free workplace.
- Perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate aerial lifts and work at heights.
- Possess sufficient stamina to work in an outdoor (hot & cold) environment.
