Experienced Landscaper (Onsite Only / No Relocation)

Job Description:
As an experienced landscaper, you will be responsible for performing a variety of landscaping tasks, from designing and planting to maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces. Your role will involve both aesthetic and functional landscaping work, requiring a strong knowledge of plant care, landscape design, irrigation systems, and equipment operation. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Landscape Installation: Design and install landscaping features, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and grass, as well as installing hardscaping elements such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and water features.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lawn mowing, edging, fertilizing, pruning, and weeding to ensure the health and beauty of landscaped areas.
• Irrigation Systems: Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution and conservation.
• Soil & Plant Care: Evaluate soil conditions and make recommendations for improvements, such as aeration or fertilization, to optimize plant health.
• Pest & Weed Control: Identify and address pest issues, and apply pesticides/herbicides as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, blowers, trimmers, chainsaws, and power tools.
• Client Communication: Work directly with clients to understand their landscaping preferences and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in landscaping, with a strong understanding of horticulture, plant care, and landscape design.
• Skills: Proficiency in the use of landscaping tools and equipment. Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, pest control, and lawn maintenance.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials.
• Attention to Detail: Strong eye for design and an appreciation for creating aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management.
• Certifications (optional): pesticide applicator certification or irrigation technician certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience with landscape design or planning.
• Knowledge of sustainable landscaping practices.
