About the Role - Data Strategist
We are seeking an experienced Data Strategist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of comprehensive data platforms and governance standards. You will lead and support data transformation initiatives across the organization, ensuring that data is managed effectively throughout its lifecycle. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in data governance and the ability to provide consultation and support to clients at all organizational levels.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and implementing data platforms and governance standards.
- Proven track record of leading data transformation initiatives and preparing government-wide strategies.
- Extensive knowledge in Data Governance, including certifications directly applicable to this position.
- 5 years of experience in conducting impact and risk assessments, and quantitative and qualitative analysis of costs and benefits.
- Strong technical proficiency in managing multiple data sources, web services, and integrating complex IT systems.
- Experience in developing information management policies, standards, and practices.
- Familiarity with data management tools such as data governance tools, BI, analytics, big data, and data visualization.
- 3 years of experience with data marts, data warehousing, and BI tools.
- Background in Information Governance, including records management and information management.
- 5 years of experience in agile software development environments and modern service design-based product delivery in large organizations or startups addressing complex challenges.
- Demonstrated expertise in Data Competencies such as data science, data engineering, data management, data governance, data privacy, artificial intelligence, and data ethics.
