Position Title : Show Assistant
Department : Costume Department
Position Summary :
Being a part of the Costume Department means working closely with shop supervisors and designers to make the designs come to life on stage in the middle of the gorgeous red rocks of Padre Canyon.
Show assistants are responsible for making sure the show is staying on track for costumes and wigs. They help make sure paperwork is created and up to date, and help catch things that might otherwise fall through the cracks.
Duties include, but are not limited to :
- Follow designer and make sure Completed Piece Lists are created throughout the build and rehearsal process
- Keep piece lists updated daily, ensuring changes from fittings are reflected
- Track things coming in, make sure everything arrives
- Help track budget
- Help make sure Out of house build contracts are on track
- Be in all fittings for the assigned show, take notes
- Be in wig fittings when possible, take notes. Check in / update paperwork from wigs.
- Prep and ship fabric & supplies out to builders
