Tuacahn Center for the Arts in beautiful Ivins, Utah, is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our energetic scene shop team! This onsite position offers a unique opportunity to bring scenic designs to life through expert metalwork in a collaborative and creative theater environment. Work alongside talented artists and craftsmen to help build stunning, high-impact sets that captivate our audiences.
Pay: $21.50-$30.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level.
What You'll Do:

Interpret technical drawings and scenic plans for welding and fabrication.

Weld and assemble metal structures for stage productions.

Use various tools to cut, grind, and finish metal components.

Collaborate with the scene shop team to execute complex scenic elements.

Maintain high safety standards and quality workmanship throughout all builds.

Assist with modifications, repairs, and installations as productions evolve.
Schedule & Overtime:

Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Overtime may be required during peak build and technical periods.

Flexibility is important, as occasional extended shifts may be necessary to ensure project timelines are met.
What We're Looking For:

Experience in MIG and/or TIG welding and metal fabrication.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

A strong eye for detail and quality craftsmanship.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Theater or live entertainment experience is a bonus, but not required.
