Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) is hiring Program Support staff (Aquatics) to assist with developing and implementing engaging aquatic programs at THPRD Pools. Ideal candidates will bring a strong aquatics background and experience in program administration. A bilingual pay incentive is available for staff who regularly use their bilingual skills!
Position Details:
Title: Program Support – Aquatics
Pay Range: $26.43 - $29.75 hourly (based on experience)
Tentative Start Date: May 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate activities to meet program goals, including developing work plans and schedules. Develop and implement program curriculum while providing guidance and leadership to part-time staff.
- Collaborate with District programs and external agencies, serving as a liaison to program committees, community partners, and private organizations.
- Foster an inclusive program environment that promotes positive experiences for all participants.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have a combination of experience and training equivalent to:
- Two years in an aquatic specialty area.
- Completion of high school (twelfth grade) plus two years of specialized training equivalent to college coursework.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Schedule:
- Tentative shift scheduling:
- Sunday-Thursday (mornings, and afternoons)
- Tuesday-Saturday (mornings, afternoons, early evenings)
- Part-time staff may work variable shifts, up to 1,560 hours annually.
Classification Status:
THPRD is hiring for multiple positions, and hours may vary based on program needs.
- Part-time variable (PT) employees work less than 20 hours per week on average annually. However, they have the option of working additional hours during periods like summer or winter months. PT are eligible to receive benefits such as Paid Time Off (PTO), Holiday Pay, Compassionate Leave, and Inclement Weather Pay (if required to work).
- Seasonal employment is temporary and allows employees to work only during certain times of the year, up to 40 hours per week for a maximum duration of six (6) consecutive months. Seasonal employees are eligible for Holiday Pay, Compassionate Leave, and Inclement Weather Pay (if they are required to work).
